I've just attended an internal training class and it was critical to measure extraction flow. It's well known that we use Kestrel flow meters.

Our field staff encounters varied and extreme conditions. In the past we have used both Kestrel and Sherpa units. We are discontinuing using the Sherpas in favor of the Kestrels. The Kestrel 2000 has proven to be more accurate and more durable.

I work for a fireworks company and use the wind meter all the time. Its the coolest new gadget and I keep telling everyone in my office they need to buy one.

We have 3 Kestrel 1000's and 2 Kestrel 2000's so far and we are looking to buy 2 more Kestrel 2000's. We found the wind and temp feature to be just what we need for weather watch. As funding becomes available, we hope to have a Kestrel for every member of our ESDA weather watch team here in South Pekin, Illinois.
Thanks Kestrel for a fine product

The Kestrel 2000 Pocket Weather Meter is for those of you who like to know just how cold and windy it really is… With the external temperature sensor, the Kestrel 2000 can take accurate water and snow temperature readings too. Just stick the unit in – don’t worry, it’s fully waterproof and it floats. (4-05)
